چکیده

A new blind adaptive multiuser detection scheme based on a hybrid of Kalman filter and subspace estimation is proposed. It is shown that the detector can be expressed as an anchored signal in the signal subspace and the coefficients can be estimated by the Kalman filter using only the signature waveform and the timing of the desired user. The resulting subspace-based algorithm brings the benefit of lower computational complexity than the full-rank approach, and the theoretical analysis indicates that the proposed algorithm is also superior in convergence performance. The adaptive implementation in dynamic environment such as variable number of users is obtained by seamlessly integrating a subspace tracking algorithm. The new proposed subspace-based method is effective in AWGN channels as well as in slowly time-varying Rayleigh fading channels. Moreover, the proposed detector is much more robust against the signalling waveform mismatch and inaccurate knowledge of the amplitude of the desired signal than the full-rank one, as demonstrated by computer simulations.

Blind adaptive multiuser detection based on Kalman filtering

Although several Kalman filtering algorithms have been presented for adaptive multiuser detection, none is “blind” due to requiring training data sequences and/or more knowledge than the spreading waveform and delay of the desired user. This paper proposes a novel blind adaptive multiuser detector based on Kalman filtering and compares it with previously published LMS and RLS algorithms for bli...

Covariance Analysis of a vector tracking GPS receiver based on MMSE multiuser Detection

In high dynamic conditions, using vector tracking loops instead of scalar tracking loops in GPS receivers is proved as an efficient method to compensate the performance. The Minimum Mean Squared Error detector as a multiuser detector is applied in the vector tracking loop for more reliability and efficiency. The Kalman filter does the two tasks of tracking and extracting the navigation data aft...

Doppler and bearing tracking using fuzzy adaptive unscented Kalman filter

The topic of Doppler and Bearing Tracking (DBT) problem is to achieve a target trajectory using the Doppler and Bearing measurements. The difficulty of DBT problem comes from the nonlinearity terms exposed in the measurement equations. Several techniques were studied to deal with this topic, such as the unscented Kalman filter. Nevertheless, the performance of the filter depends directly on the...
